Over 1 Million Visitors

Nana Plaza, the world’s largest adult playground, has recently celebrated its one millionth visitor. The Plaza now has 24 agogo bars and three stand-alone beer bars spread across three floors, each with its own theme, offering some of Thailand’s best adult entertainment.

History

Nana Plaza began in the late 1970s as a restaurant and shopping plaza. A few go-go bars arose in the early 1980s, as did a snooker hall on the third level and a Lebanese restaurant on the ground floor. The shops and restaurants were gradually replaced by bars, and by the late 1980s, over twenty go-go bars had emerged in the three-level court, capitalising on the recent rise of tourist hotels in the area. Bars and foot traffic to the plaza grew steadily until it featured 39 entertainment venues by 2002.   Rainbow 1 and Rainbow 2, as well as Lucky Lukes, are three of the Plaza’s original name bars still operating today (although Lucky Lukes has recently transformed into a cannabis store).

Panthera Group

Panthera Group took over the plaza’s lease in 2012 and quickly began improving the relatively run-down Nana Entertainment Plaza as it was now known. Lifts, escalators, new flooring, and various safety upgrades were installed to bring the plaza up to code and cope with the increasing foot traffic. These improvements cost an estimated 10 million baht ($290,000), including a complete repair of the electrical infrastructure. To ensure the guests’ safety at all times, a full security system with several state-of-the-art CCTV cameras was installed, as well as a staff of professional security personnel, including a western General Manager.

The Roof

Panthera Group erected a massive roof canopy over the entire site in 2018 for an estimated cost of 18 million baht. The roof was cutting-edge, keeping the big open area dry throughout the rainy season while allowing heat to escape.

Support for workers and tenants

Thailand’s nightlife industry was particularly hard hit during the COVID outbreak of 2020 – 2022, with many employees battling to survive. During this time, the Panthera Group provided about one million dollars in charity donations to the employees and their families, as well as slashing rents for tenants.

Nana Plaza has continued to adapt and change over the last 30 years and is now known around the world for its distinctive entertainment.

Visitors appreciate the Plaza’s clean and secure surroundings. Nana Plaza also provides unique leases of up to 12 years, which allows potential tenants time to build their businesses for the future.  To find out more about becoming a tenant at Nana Plaza, contact us here >>>
