Anyone visiting Nana Plaza during the day this low season would think the World’s Largest Adult Playground had become the World’s Largest Construction Site.

From top to bottom, Nana Plaza is getting ready for High Season, with many of its bars renovating or reinventing themselves during this slow time of year.

We do the work now – and only during the day – to bring you tourists visiting during High Season the best entertainment experience possible. Most never realize the work that goes into it, so here’s some a peek behind the scenes to let you know what you can expect.

Construction workers remove the bars and eventually the stage at the Jail Birdz as it transforms into Butterflies.

Jail Birdz Morphs into Butterflies

The biggest project under way is the transformation of Jail Birdz on the top floor into a whole new go-go bar, Butterflies. Gone is the well-known prison theme and, in its place, are polished wood stages and comfy red sofas.

It took a lot to get it to that stage, however. First all the bars had to be pulled out, the stadium seating removed and the bar reduced to bar walls and flooring, half a side at a time.

To their credit, the owners never closed Jail Birdz, simply blocking off half the bar entirely each day and then giving it a thorough wipe down before opening the doors each night.

Enter the Bubbles Zone

The other major renovation was the creation of Enter on the top floor out of the remains of what was once Bubbles. Bubbles was cut into pieces, with a large chunk of it becoming the new Nana Plaza office, and some returned to Billboard.

New walls were erected and the rest reduced to a shell before a new stage, stadium seating, a dance platform and a bar built,.

Enter began recruiting dancers in October and opened its doors on Oct. 28.

Subtle Spank

There’s nothing subtle about what happens in Spanky’s. It’s Nana Plaza’s most rollicking, good-time bar. But the middle-floor go-go also did a big renovation, with a lot of improvements no one ever notices.

The biggest change was the replacement of all its old white couches and replaced with comfy red versions. The owners like to point out all the new sofas have lumbar support, which will be appreciated when a Spanky’s Siren is bouncing on your lap!

Other improvement include all new drink tables, overhauled electrical wiring, new lighting for the stage and more.

All the work will be done by the time high season takes hold, so come on in to Nana Plaza and enjoy the new bars, upgraded surroundings and all our hot girls!
